'The Problem Is Not APC, It's Our Leadership' -APC Chieftain

Former Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaji Tajudeen Folaranmi Aro, has criticised the leadership of the party, accusing it of insincerity and poor leadership.

Speaking during a radio programme, Aro said the challenges confronting the APC in kwara were not caused by the party itself but by those leading it.

"We are not sincere; we are fond of deceiving people. It is not that APC is bad, but our leadership is the problem," he said.

Aro further recalled the circumstances that led to the emergence of the "Otoge" (Enough is Enough) political movement, saying the campaign was originally driven by the desire to end what many perceived as poor leadership.

"Where we are coming from was not as difficult as this. I mean when we said 'Otoge' (Enough is Enough). Now it is 'Otoge' for our party's bad leadership, and we will battle it to the end," he stated.

Aro was suspended by the APC in September 2024 over allegations of anti-party activities, a development that further deepened internal divisions within the party. He has consistently maintained a critical stance against the current leadership of the party in the state.

His latest comments are expected to fuel ongoing debates over leadership and internal cohesion within the Kwara APC as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum.
