Eid-el-Kabir: Olushola Odetundun Felicitates With Muslim Faithful

All Progressives Congress, APC, Chieftain and Entrepreneur, Hon. Olushola Odetundun has felicitated with Muslim ummah on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Hon. Odetundun , in a statement he personally signed urged all Muslim faithful to reflect on the lessons of sacrifice, charity and love that the feast of Eid-el-Kabir symbolised.

"I want to start out by saying “Eid-El- Mubarak” to all Muslim faithful in Irepodun Local Government and our great state, Kwara, at large."

"The year, 2020, has indeed been a trying one for us as individuals, as a state and as a nation. The pandemic that has spread across the nations of world has devastated lives, both old and young, rich and poor. The predicament the world is in right now should teach us to be grateful for every moment we are alive. So, for everyone who is alive to see this year’s sallah celebration should lift a sound of thanksgiving to the Almighty."

"This year’s sallah is not like any we have experienced in the past. Our movement is restricted, and we cannot gather as we desire in our religious congregations. Even when we have the opportunity to see each other, it is with our mouths and noses covered. In spite of all these inconveniences, we must exhibit the characteristics of Prophet Ibrahim who was willing to sacrifice his only son."

"Things are tough for all of us but this is the time for us to make sacrifices for one another. This time, more than any other, we must rise as God’s servants and good citizens of the nation to lift our nation and help our fellow humans. Love and peace are what should guide our conversations and our interactions."

"We must not forget that all our actions will one day be judged by the Almighty and so even in trying times like this, we must not forget to show mercy to people around us."

"Nothing lasts forever and soon we shall see the end of this pandemic and we will be able to celebrate together once again. The state government, under the efficient leadership of our capable and amiable governor, Mallam AbdulRahman  Abdulrazaq, is trying to curb the spread of the disease in our state and we must cooperate with the government.
We and our children will not be victims of this deadly disease, insha Allah."

"Let’s remember to be grateful to be alive to see another salah celebration. Let’s remember those who don’t have in this season. Let’s remember to comply with government regulations as we stay safe and insha Allah, this time next year, we will all gather together to celebrate again."

Once again, Eid-El- Mubarrak.

Hon. Olushola Odetundun.
