Guber Race: Hope Rises For APN As Senatorial Candidate Emerges Third in Kwara North

The Alternative Party of Nigeria (APN) has expressed optimism that its governorship candidate for 2019 polls, Amb Mohammed Abubakar Mohammed will emerge winner of gubernatorial race in Kwara State.

APN in a statement issued on Friday by Director General of the campaign organisation, Alh Saheed Agboola disclosed that their party candidate emerged third during senatorial election in Kwara North district.

Alh Saheed Agboola said APN senatorial candidate, Musa Yahaya Ibrahim from Kaiama local government followed the PDP flagbearer who came second.

The party however noted APN governorship candidate would emerge winner of March 9 poll because he is from Kwara North, understands Kwara political terrain and has good manifesto.

He explained that Amb Mohammed defeated ruling party's chairmanship candidate during November 2017 council poll despite running on platform of newly registered party, adding KWASIEC robbed him of his victory.

APN Campaign DG therefore urged kwarans to for Amb Mohammed Abubakar Mohammed and all their House of Assembly candidates on March 9.

He insisted that PDP and APC have failed kwarans, hence they need to vote for better alternative which is APN.
