KWARA 2019: Moro Indigenes Call On Sobi FM Boss To Contest For 2019 Governorship Election
Citizens of Moro Local Government in Ilorin, Ifelodun, Asa, Offa and Irepodun have called on Alhaji Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha to contest for 2019 Governorship election.
The group comprising of Mallam Azeez Okedare (Jebba), Mr. Saka Taiwo (Abati/Alara), Mr. Jibril Ibrahim (Ajanaku), Issa Omotosho (Shao), Ajibade Omotosho (Oloru), Elder Abiodun Adebayo (Baba Dudu), Mal. Akeem Aremu (Okutala), Mr. Bayo Kehinde (Ejidongari), Alh. Issa Aminu (Pakuma), Mal. Saka Issa (Logun-jenkuni), Mr. Amosa Oba (Lanwa), Mal. Saka Adio (Womi-Ayaki), Mr. Yusuf Mumini (Bode Saadu), Pst. John Sunkanmi (Oemi), Mal. Suleman Sunmonu (Malete), Mrs. Tunrayo Salami (Maigida) and Mr. Taju Olasumbo (Arobadi) said they are suggesting to the philanthropist to occupy the state's most exalted office going by his contribution to humanity in his state.
The Moro Local Government Coordinator of the Lukman Mustapha Freedom Squad, Mr. Saka Taiwo said Kwara state needs a visionary person who has passion for development and well being of his citizens and has proven that in all areas.
The group requested the support of everybody in the state to ensure LOM's victory.
On the political party, the spokesperson of the group explained that it is time the people are no longer slave to political party but the ability of the individual representing the party.
They also believe that leadership is about meeting the need of people and cresting attractive environment for investments. They debunked the statement that Kwara state is a civil servant state. Kwara has a lot to offer the country and we believe a visionary person will promote investments which will enhance internally generated revenue for the state.
They also believe that the state has not really enjoyed visible dividend of democracy, especially local government workers are being owed up to eight months salary arrears without any hope when the arrears would be cleared.
They promised to mobilize their families, friends, colleagues and more to vote as LOM shows interest.
They added that Kwara should shun political killings and fighting that could affect peace in the state.
They concluded that they are prepared to host him for further discussion and give few ideas that will make him succeed.
