Goke Bamidele Stood By Me In My darkestDarkest Hour – Prince Madandola

The North Central Zonal Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and stalwart of the party in Isinland, Prince Madandola Olalekan Bashir (MOB), has narrated how frontline House of Representatives hopeful, Honourable Goke Bamidele, came through for him at a critical point in his life when he was bedridden in hospital four years ago.

Prince Madandola, fondly called MOB, said Bamidele’s humanitarian gesture at a time when politics was not even in the picture will remain evergreen in the memory of his family.

He made this revelation during the recent Isin PDP stakeholders’ interface with the Oke-Ero born politician and former Kwara State Commissioner for Agriculture, who officially declared his interest in the 2027 House of Representatives race.

In his remarks, MOB commended Bamidele for his courage, consistency, and loyalty to the party, recalling how he aspired twice in 2019 and 2023 but humbly submitted to the party’s decision to step aside for other candidates.

He urged members of the PDP in Isin and across other local governments to rally behind whoever emerges as the party’s flagbearer in 2027, stressing that the PDP must not afford to fail this time.

Hon. Goke Bamidele and his "Mo Fe Goke" team including top party leaders from Oke ero had visited Isin PDP for an interactive session to present his political aspiration. The meeting, presided over by the Isin PDP Chairman, Hon. Aremu Olajesu, was well attended by party leaders and stakeholders across the local government.

Barrister Moroof Tanni who spoke on behalf of the stakeholders also praised Goke Bamidele for his political maturity, describing him as a man with large heart who is known for his sportsmanship spirit. He also praised Oke ero party leaders who accompanied their son to the meeting for the reception earlier accorded Isin team during the earlier visit , noting that the PDP in isin is ready to work with whoever wins the party's ticket at the primaries.

In his own address, Hon. Goke Bamidele appreciated the unwavering commitment of Isin PDP members to the leadership of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki and the PDP structure in Kwara. He emphasized that his political philosophy is not driven by desperation or “get-it-at-all-cost” politics, but by the survival, unity, and growth of the party.

He assured that he would readily support any candidate that emerges from a free, fair, and credible process, while also promising to make a difference if entrusted with the House of Representatives mandate. According to him, the constituency has long yearned for responsible representation that prioritizes the needs and welfare of the people.

Bamidele also condemned the worsening insecurity ravaging communities across the state, attributing it to leadership failures since 2019, which he said have taken a heavy toll on citizens, especially those in rural areas.
