Gov AbdulRazaq Releases N70m For Accreditation Of Courses In COED Ilorin - Provost


The Acting Provost, Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Dr. Jimoh Ahmed Ayinla has appreciated the efforts of the Kwara State Government towards the accreditation of programs in the college. 

Dr. Jimoh, on Tuesday while speaking with the press in ilorin said the Kwara State Government recently supported the institution with the sum of N70m which is the reason behind the ongoing accreditation of seven new degree courses by the Nigerian University Commission, NUC in affiliation with Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti which is to upgrade the standard of the college.

The Acting Provost affirmed that the students can freely go for National Youth Service Corps, upon successful completion of the courses

He maintained that the processing of accreditation started in 2018 but the efforts made by the institution management then was fruitless.

The provost also disclosed that affiliation with the University of Ilorin will soon commence, as there are ongoing preparations for it, adding that a sum of N19.5m will be spent on its actualization.

He therefore commended the State Government for the support rendered towards successful accreditation of the courses.

Also, the Principal of Kwara State College of Education Model Secondary School debunked the circulating rumor over sit-at-work protest within the staff.

He maintained that the school activities are going smoothly as it was supposed to, without any hindrance.
