JAMB Lists Institutions Indicted For Illegal Admissions (See Full List)
The Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede had on Tuesday made an announcement reporting that about 706,189 illegal admissions were recorded from universities, colleges of education, polytechnics and monotechnics.
Oloyede made the disclosures at an educational official meeting with some important stakeholders in Abuja where he had lamented that these illegal act by the tertiary institutions has quite impacted negatively on the image of the country, as it was rampant across the six geopolotial zones in both public bad private tertiary institutions.
It was reported that these indicted institutions had disregarded JAMB's regulatory CAPS instruction to only admit candidates that have qualified and have necessary requirements to be offered provisional admission into their selected choices of tertiary institution.
Tertiary institutions that made the list has some that would leave you stunned but alas, this is based on facts, they are listed in order of figure hierarchy:

Oloyede said: “As a measure of mopping up the backlog of improperly admitted candidates, the Honourable Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, assented to the Board’s plea for a last chance for the violators comprising vice chancellors, rector's and provost's of such indicted institutions.
“He also approved the caveat that the culprits should, first and foremost, declare the number of candidates admitted outside CAPS between 2017 and 2020 by sending a formal letter of confession and disclosure to the JAMB Registrar.
“It is astonishing that so far, 706,189 candidates have been disclosed as illegally admitted between 2017 and 2020.”
In conclusion, the JAMB body concluded that only qualified candidates as well as cautioned aspirants of various institutions to be wary of accepting illegal admissions.
