The Special Assistant to the Governor of Kwara State on Community Intervention, Kayode Oyin-Zubair today offered to support six primary schools in Igbaja district with desktop computers and other instructional materials during the 61st Independence Anniversary celebration held at ECWA secondary school Igbaja.
Oyin-Zubair who was the guest speaker at the event put together by Games Masters and Mistresses in the area enjoined the young ones to take their studies seriously as it is the only tool available for them to be truly independent in life.
He had during his birthday celebration in 2017 donated two sets of desktop computer to LGEA community primary school and ECWA demonstration primary school Igbaja.
The Governor’s aide who was accompanied to today’s event by the manager of a first generation bank equally secured the renovation of two classrooms in a primary school that will be equipped with desks and chairs by the bank.
He commended organizers of the event for bringing back the historic and colorful celebration during his lecture tagged, “I can remember”.
Highlights of the event included match pass, cultural dances and others. It was attended by traditional chiefs, teachers, parents and guardians.
