Lack of Responding Leadership, Our Problem in Kwara South- Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun

The Esie-born philanthropist, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun today Monday, 14th May, 2018 has attributed the high level of poverty and underdevelopment in the district to lack of accountable leadership in Kwara South. He made this known while participating on a Radio program, Politics Today on Sobi 109.1fm, ilorin. Adeyemi highlighted ethics and principles of good representation and governance for all to provision of visionary template for both mental and physical development.

According to him, "having visions, template for the people, to ensure adequate representation as against current personal pursuit in the district is very important. Unfortunately the elected politicians are now the boss, as masters(the electorates) become slaves." He frowned at the master/slaves relationship entrenched by the uninformed political class.

Moreso, the Kwara South Senatorial Aspirant agreed to the adoption of zoning formula as far as merit and equity are concerned. In his words, "Zoning was to achieve equity and fairness in democratic governance. However it must be done to reflect harmony and meritocracy in line political peculiarities of any nation".

Responding to a caller from Omu-Aran, Prince Olanrewaju, Engr. Adeyemi claimed that "the PDP of today has done a very good introspection after the last election and put a winning team together" to return power to the people as against what is obtainable in the current dispensation.

While appreciating some beneficiaries of his philanthrophic gestures in Kwara South, Adeyemi said "We may be living in US, but we are always at home, putting our resources together to bring relief to the people. These are the basics things government supposed to offer our people."

Also on the program is the presidential hopeful, Princess Funmilayo Adesanya-Davies, who contributed to the program on various political issues.
