New Kuta of Muregi, Adamu Jibril, Pays Historic Homage Visit to Ellah Village

The people of Ellah Village were filled with joy and excitement as the newly installed Kuta of Muregi, Alhaji Adamu Jibril, paid a traditional homage visit to the community.
The visit is part of a long-standing tradition established by the late Kuta Bake more than 260 years ago. Successive Kutas of Muregi have faithfully upheld this custom upon ascending the throne. It is also customary for every new Kuta to visit the gravesite of his ancestor in Ellah Village before formally assuming his duties.
This historic tradition symbolizes the enduring relationship, mutual respect, and cultural ties between the Muregi Kingdom and Ellah Village. In keeping with the legacy handed down by the late Kuta Bake, Alhaji Adamu Jibril embarked on the visit to strengthen the bond between the two communities and reaffirm their shared values of peace, unity, and cooperation.
During the visit, the Royal Father was warmly received by the Village Head, community leaders, elders, youths, and residents of Ellah Village. The atmosphere was marked by celebration, cultural displays, and expressions of goodwill.
Addressing the gathering, the Kuta of Muregi emphasized the importance of unity and peaceful coexistence among the people. He urged residents to continue upholding the values of harmony, respect, and collective responsibility, noting that meaningful development can only be achieved when a community remains united.

The Royal Father also offered special prayers for Ellah Village, seeking Allah’s blessings for peace, progress, and prosperity. He prayed for the protection of the people, wisdom for their leaders, abundant opportunities for the youth, and sustainable development across the community.
The people of Ellah Village expressed their appreciation to the Kuta of Muregi for honoring the age-old tradition and for his prayers and words of encouragement. They reaffirmed their commitment to preserving the cordial relationship between the two communities and working together for the continued progress of the Kyeadya Kingdom.
The homage visit served not only as a celebration of cultural heritage but also as a reminder of the enduring legacy of the late Kuta Bake, whose vision of unity and friendship continues to guide the relationship between Muregi in Niger State and Ellah Village in Kwara State more than 260 years later.
