Hon. Abolarin Commends Governor AbdulRasaq For Approving Osi - Obbo-Aiyegunle Road Projects

The Member representing Ekiti Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, Honourable Abolarin Ganiyu Gabriel, has commended Governor AbdulRasaq AbdulRahman for approving the construction of the Osi - Obbo-Aiyegunle road in EkitiLocal Government Area.

Abolarin Ganiyui gave the commendation in his office in Ilorin while speaking with Assembly correspondents, saying that the road project when completed will open up the area for further socio-economic development.

The lawmaker said the Obbo-Aiyegunle community is a densely populated area in his constituency, stressing that the road connects the area to several other areas.

Hon. Abolarin who is the Chairman House Committee on Works and Transport also commended Governor AbdulRasaq AbdulRahman for his determination towards attracting development in all parts of the state.

The lawmaker said his constituents were excited over the latest approval by the State Executive Council and commended Governor AbdulRasaq for listening to the agitation of the people.

Honourable Abolarin described the road as a nightmare to the people of the Constituency, as the bad nature, which did not encouraged easy and free drive had encourage the evil activities of bandits and kidnappers, with innocent lives lost.

He thereafter commended the resilience of the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engineer Suileman Iliyasu Rotimi, for pushing the approval through at the State Executive Council.

He pledged the continued support of the people of Ekiti to the administration, assuring that he would ensure its smooth execution.

Hon. Abolarin noted that the Osi - Obbo-Aiyegunle road has been one of the daily prayers he has been asking God for its approval so as to bring more relieve and succour to the people of area.

He said, "road construction and other infrastructural development have multiplier effects," stressing that the state government was creating the enabling environment for investments to thrive in the state.

He charged contractors to handle the road projects, to take advantage of the dry weather to speed up work on the projects.
