Kwara Gov't Summons Ali-agan, Justice Haroon

The Kwara State Government has summoned the former Grand Khadi of Sharia Court, Justice Idris Haroon and Abubakr Ali-Agan before Technical Committee set up for the covid-19 pandemic over their alleged violation to the state government lockdown order.

Recall that in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus that has killed thousands of people across the world, the State government, under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, banned all religions activities and ordered the lockdown of the state.

In violation to this order, Alli-Agan reportedly held a jumaat prayer while the former jurist also held a wedding ceremony.

A member of the Covid-19 committee, Honourable Rasaq Owolabi, exclusively told this medium that the committee has written an invitation letter to the scholars and they will appear before it today by 10am.

He said they must come before the committee to explain why they allegedly acted in fragrant violation of the government order.
