Press Briefing: PRP Laments The Poor Handling Of Kebbi State


The PRP kebbi State held its Maiden Press
briefing on 22/01/2020 at NUJ Secretariat Birnin Kebbi and the highlight is as follows:

i- The State Chairman PRP commended the press for its untiring efforts at protecting our nascent democracy.

ii- He enunciate the principles of PRP which include value and equity of human being the power of the people, state control of the economy, genuine federalism and total liberation from imperialism.

Other issues presented at the press briefing includes:

a- Lack of effective leadership that witnessed undue influence of members of families of governor in the affair of governance in the state, this is inspite of the abundance of credible professionals and intellectuals of highest reputation.

b- Squandering of the N17 billion anchor borrowers fund and urgent need to recover the money by publishing the list of beneficiaries and instituting and enquiry to identify those culpable.

c- Condemning the recent local government elections as shame and called for strict adherence to internal party democracy and due electoral processes.

d- Condemning harassment, intimidation and inpunity and called on the state Govt to abide by the tenet of rules of low in dealing with its citizens

e- Revealed the sum of N 404,613,012.66 including.$ 2,544,155.99 as total sum that have accrued to both state and local Govt coffers in the last five years but nothing tangible to show and therefore requested for explanation to  be made to the citizens of the state by present administration.

f- State PRP Chairman also requested the state government to address the current infrastructural deficits for instance, the by completing the rehabilitation of Birnin Kebbi Central Market and also the problems of education, stop the jamboree known as "medical outreach" and concentrate on rehabilitation equiping and staffing of our primary and secondary health center

g- To concentrate on the security challenges in Danko wasagu.

Finally the state Chairman PRP called on all concern Kebbians to come out and register with the party PRP for good and effective leadership.
