Kwara Govt Takes Over Treatment Of NYSC Accident Victims


Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq yesternight visited the Prospective Corp Members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) involved in a fatal auto crash that claimed the lives of two young and promising youths from Kwara while travelling to Taraba State for their mandatory one year National Service.

AbdulRazaq who had earlier directed the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Saba Jibril to lead a delegation of Government to Mokwa General Hospital in Niger State where the victims of the auto crash were receiving treatment, ascertain their conditions and relocate them to Ilorin General Hospital for proper medical attention.


The Governor who described the development as “one tragedy too many” for Kwara also prayed God continue to grant the souls of the departed rest and comfort their families, loved ones and the state.

AbdulRazaq promised that the government will stand by the families of the deceased at this time of grief and provide financial support needed for adequate medical care for the injured who are now receiving treatment at the Ilorin General Hospital.
