Reason Gov Ahmed Aides Was Arrested By Police

Information reaching us have it that Personal Assistant on Political Matters to the Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed Mr. Yusuf Alabi Olalekan popularly known as PAPOL, arrest is in connection with the ongoing police interrogation of suspected cultists that were recently arrested in Ilorin and transferred to the Force headquarters.

Last night Informant 247 had earlier reported the arrest of Olalekan and that he had been transported to the Force headquarters in Abuja.

The medium quoted an unnamed source as saying that the Governor’s political aide was arrested late last night at his residence in Kwara and taken to Abuja for proper investigation.

“The reason for his arrest has not been revealed,” the report concluded. 

The police earlier this month arrested about six suspected cultists including Lanre Muhammad Soliu popularly known as Askari of Ile Nda compound; Azeez Moyaki of Moyaki Compound, and Suleiman Babatunde of Gambari area all within Ilorin.

Others arrested are Abolaji Safti Ojulari of Kankatu area, Yusuf Habeeb and one Umar Yahaya both of Kangile Village in Kulende area of the Metropolis.

A highly placed source who confide in this medium, disclosed that the governor’s political assistant was arrested as a result of the exotic cars distributed to some political thugs, popularly known as "good boys" by the State government earlier this year.

It was learnt that he (Olalekan) was the one who handed the cars to the good boys. It was also gathered that one of the leaders of the robbery gang that that struck banks in Offa on April 5, was once sighted in one of the cars given to the good boys.
