Armed Men Attack KWASU Osi Campus Construction Workers

Ekiti/Osi: Six men armed with sophisticated weapons attacked a group of construction workers in Kwara State University, Ekiti/Osi Campus on Friday, an eyewitness reported.

The incident which occurred on Friday march 9th was as a result of land dispute between two waring villages, Osi and Itsare, which gave the Osi indigene confidence that the attack was carried out by the people of Itasare.

However, the construction worker who planned to carry out a counter-attack on the villager were stopped by the police who were on ground to restore peace.

One of the victims, only identifed as Gabriel, who was stabbed at the chest is said to be receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Osi.

Recalled that this would be the second attack on the site within two weeks.
