PDP Commissions Ilorin West Secretariat, Talks Tough On Kwara Guber
He said this during the official commissioning of its secretariat over Saturday last week.
According to him, it is necessary for the party in the council area to have its own secretariat for the smooth running of the party activities.
While noting that the party’s national chairman has directed state chapters to set up a reconciliation committee across the states including Kwara, Abubakar further charged party members and executives to reconcile aggrieve members.
Omotosho lauded the efforts of the state executive under the leadership of Iyiola Oyedepo for its efforts at managing the crisis which is yielding very positive results.
The chairman noted that with aggressive campaigns across the sixteen local governments in the state, PDP will win the 2019 general elections in Kwara.
He explained that going by the last local governments election results, Kwarans have shown their support for PDP which was a positive sign going into 2019.
On the purported defection of certain big wigs from the ruling party, Omotosho appealed for calm adding that anybody coming would not be a threat to existing members
“Our door is always widely open to the new members who want to join with genuine minds for the party to progress and succeed come 2019”, he added.
He called on Independence Electoral Commission (INEC) to create more registration centre in Ilorin West local government so that more electorates can have the opportunity to obtain their voter’s cards.
Addressing the party supporters at the ceremony, the Proprietor of Sobi FM, Lukman Mustapha, enjoined members to embrace peace for the success of the party in 2019 general elections.

Highlight of the event was the official commissioning of the secretariat by Alhaji Atanda Zoro and assisted by Alhaji Lukman Mustapha and other party elders in the council.
