Recognizing Greatness: Nda Chapa Ellah Confers more Chieftancy Titles on Outstanding Individuals


Alhaji Muhammad Tsowa, the 17th Chapa of Ellah, installed on April 2, 2025, has promised to implement key strategies for community development and recognize distinguished community members with traditional chieftancy titles.

Initiatives under his administration:
1. Weekly council meetings: To drive progressive development in the community.
2. Youth engagement forums: Periodic meetings to address youth challenges and foster unity.
3. Recognition of service: Conferment of traditional chieftancy titles on exemplary members and well-wishers. 

Conferment of Traditional Chieftancy Titles

As part of his inclusive administration, Alhaji Muhammad Tsowa honours outstanding individuals with traditional Chieftancy titles during the Eid Kabir celebration. In 2025, 8 deserving individuals were recognized. In May 29th, 2026, at the Nko celebration during Eid Kabir, 9 distinguished individuals were also honoured, both at home and in the diaspora

The Tsadu KUTA of Muregi, Niger State, who announced the beneficiaries, thanked Almighty God for sparing our lives to witness the occasion. 

He also appreciated the Emir of Bida, HRH Alh. (Dr.) Abubakar Yahaya, and the Etsu of Patigi, Alh. (Dr.) Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, for their exemplary leadership.

Recipients of 2026 titles are:

1. Engr. Kolo Ellah Muhammed: Mayaki Chapa Ellah (Dodondawa), Ministry of Solid Mineral Development, Ilorin. Kwara State 
2. Mall Jibril Kolo Aliyu: Marafa Chapa Ellah (Kpakoyankpa), Kwara State High Court, Ilorin. Kwara State 
3. Hon Musa Alfa: Yerima Chapa Ellah (Daudu), Former Supervisor Works Councillor, Patigi LGC.
4. Mall Mohammed Sani: Madaki Chapa Ellah (Daudu), Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. Borno State 
5. Hon Abdullahi Alhaji Baama: Wambayi Chapa Ellah (Kpakoyankpa). Hon Councillor Patigi Ward IV, Patigi LGC.
6. Mall Mohammed Baba Adam: Turaki Chapa Ellah (Kpakoyankpa), Community Mobilizer.
7. Mall Ndanusa Sa'id Alhaji: Rani Chapa Ellah (Kpakoyankpa), United Nations, 
8. Mall Ahmed Ndagima Mohammed,Sha'amaki Chapa Ellah (Kpakoyankpa),a legal practitioner 
9. Mall Idris Chapa Madu,Ga'panma Chapa Ellah (Kpakoyankpa)

Celebrations

- The event also marked 50 years of LGEA Primary School Ellah/Edozhigi.
- Commemorated 260 years since the departure of Kuta Abubakar Bake of Muregi, buried at Ellah.
- Prayers were held for these milestones.
