Massive Turnout for Soliu Mustapha Across Kwara Central Signals Rising Acceptance Among APC Faithful - Stakeholders
A massive turnout of party faithful, supporters, and stakeholders across the four local government areas of Kwara Central Senatorial District has been described as a strong indication of the growing acceptance, influence, and genuine support enjoyed by Senator Soliu Mustapha within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The impressive gatherings witnessed during the ongoing party primary governorship process across Ilorin West, Ilorin East, Ilorin South, and Asa local government areas have continued to stir political conversations across Kwara State, with many stakeholders attributing the development to Mustapha’s grassroots appeal, leadership style, and consistent support for party members and community-based initiatives.
Speaking at separate engagements across the senatorial district, APC leaders and loyalists noted that the overwhelming turnout of supporters reflects the confidence and trust many party members have in the senator, particularly at a time when political alignments and strategic consultations ahead of the 2027 general elections are gaining momentum.
A party stakeholder in Ilorin West described the turnout as unprecedented, saying, “What we are witnessing today clearly shows that Senator Soliu Mustapha has built genuine relationships with the grassroots. The crowd is organic and reflects the love people have for him across Kwara Central.”
Another APC chieftain from Asa Local Government noted that the senator’s consistency and accessibility have continued to strengthen his political acceptance within the party.
“Senator Mustapha has remained committed to empowering youths, supporting communities, and standing firmly with party members. That is why people are identifying with him massively,” the stakeholder said.
According to party loyalists, Senator Mustapha has remained steadfast in his commitment to youth empowerment, community development, and the strengthening of the APC structure across the state, qualities they said have continued to endear him to party faithful and residents alike.
They further described the massive turnout as a reflection of the senator’s growing political influence and popularity within Kwara Central, stressing that the support transcends wards, local governments, age groups, and political interests.
A youth leader at one of the gatherings said the large turnout sends a clear political message ahead of the 2027 elections.
“This is beyond ordinary mobilisation. The people are showing where their interest lies, and the momentum around Senator Soliu Mustapha keeps growing by the day,” he stated.
Political observers within the party also believe the sustained show of solidarity signals a deepening bond between Senator Mustapha and APC members across the district, further cementing his position as one of the leading political figures within the party in Kwara State.
The gatherings attracted prominent APC chieftains, youth and women groups, community leaders, ward executives, and supporters from different parts of the senatorial district, creating an atmosphere many described as a demonstration of strength, unity, and political confidence.
