Kwara APC Suffers Fresh Defection as Bode Deway Joins PDP
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has recorded another significant setback as a prominent party chieftain, Otunba Olabode Oyedepo, popularly known as Bode Deway, has dumped the party and signaled his intention to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Otunba Oyedepo, an influential figure from Oro in Irepodun Local Government Area and a former senatorial aspirant in Kwara South, made this known during a telephone conversation with the Kwara PDP State Publicity Secretary, Comrade Olusegun Olusola Adewara, shortly after the party’s just-concluded National Convention.
According to him, he has commenced preparations for his formal registration with the PDP, expressing readiness to actively participate in the party’s internal democratic processes.
In recent times, the APC in Kwara State has witnessed a wave of high-profile defections to the PDP, including former Commissioner for Works, Hon. Rotimi Ilyasu, Otunba Tadese of Oba Kingdom, former Assembly member Honorable Saheed Popoola and several other key stakeholders across the state.
