Sarkin Gobir Congratulates Muslims As Ramadan 2025 Begins, Calls For Devotion And Unity
Sarkin Gobir of Ilorin Emirate and Wazirin Kasar Hausa, Alhaji Yakubu Garba Gobir, has congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and beyond as they commence the holy month of Ramadan 2025.
In his message, the Sarkin Gobir described Ramadan as a period of spiritual purification, devotion, and self-discipline, urging Muslims to maximize the blessings of the sacred month through prayers, fasting, and acts of kindness.
“As we begin this holy month, I encourage all Muslims to strengthen their faith, increase their acts of worship, and show compassion to the less privileged. Ramadan is a time for renewal, self-reflection, and drawing closer to Allah,” he stated.
The Sarkin Gobir extended his warmest greetings to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commending his leadership and praying for Allah’s continued guidance and blessings upon him as he steers the affairs of the state. He also conveyed his heartfelt regards to the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, acknowledging his fatherly wisdom and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of the Ilorin Emirate. He prayed for the Emir’s reign to be marked by peace, prosperity, and continued harmony among the people.
Furthermore, the Sarkin Gobir extended his special greetings to the Imams and Ulamah within the Ilorin Emirate, recognizing their tireless efforts in guiding the Muslim Ummah and ensuring the propagation of Islamic values. He encouraged them to continue their noble duty of teaching, advising, and fostering spiritual growth within the community, especially during this sacred month.
