FUEL PRICE HIKE: Ilorin Grinds to a Halt as Motorcycle, Tricycle Riders Protest

Motorcycle and tricycle riders brought Ilorin to a standstill today, protesting soaring fuel prices that threaten their livelihood.

The riders, who form the backbone of the city's transportation system, mounted roadblocks across major roads, causing gridlock and disrupting daily activities.

"We can't continue to operate at a loss," said one protester. "The high fuel prices are making it difficult for us to make ends meet. We're struggling to feed our families, and the government seems not to care."

The protest, which began early in the morning, affected major roads, including Ibrahim Taiwo road, Sango area, and Maraba road. Shop owners were forced to temporarily close their businesses.

The riders demand that the government take immediate action to reduce fuel prices. The government has yet to respond.

KwaraReporters is monitoring the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
