Kwara Community Seeks FG's Intervention On Dilapidated Bridge
The Moro community in Kwara North senatorial district of Kwara State has called on the federal government to come to their aid over the bridge that has threatened free vehicular movement because of its near collapsed state, which has warranted the closure for safety.
Investigations by our team revealed that the recent directive by the federal government through the ministry of works, stopping State Governments from embarking on rehabilitation of Federal Roads, was responsible for the delipidated bridge, which could have received palliative measures from the Kwara State Government.
The community, through a group, Moro Youths Association, therefore called on the federal government's pressing attention on this development to ease vehicular movement and reduce the negative economic consequences this closure has caused on the community.
The President of the Association, Mustapha Muhammad, stated that they are confident, that the Minister for Works, Raji Babatunde Fashola, would use his good offices to come to their attention.
