THE WISH OF ALLAH FOR AALA! In Memory Of A Small But Mighty King

By Alabi Sèniyan

Oba Aala of Ilala will ordinarily go for a king without serious notice. Most kings that make noticeable impacts are either in the first class or second class category, or in some cases, able to parade some convincing financial influence.
But In the case of the late Aala of Ilala, none of the aforementioned is available for him to wield.

An unrepentant progressive, Igbomina people rights crusader, a lover of his people and a good ambassador of traditional rulers.

His Royal Highness, Oba Abdulwahab Afolabi Osuolale Adeyemi Oyebanire II, the Aala of Ilala Kingdom in his lifetime will not cheat and will never allow his people to be cheated. His voice was always heard whenever a vacancy is to be filled. He would comfortably argue why it has to come to kwara south. Where he has his way, he would start the lobby to bring it to Irepodun local government, and if possible, Ajase ward one.

However, he was not partisan when it came to political stand.

He defended barrister Ayansola of the PDP the same way he defended Fattah Amolegbe, Bilikis Lawal and Dr Ayanda of the APC. He knocked the door of Alhaji Baanu, the former commissioner of finance to achieve his aim for the generality of Ajase ward one, but that did not stop him from appealing to Folashade of the FIRS who succeeded another Ajase ward one professor in the same capacity.

To the late Aala, it's never enough for his people.

In the early days of 2016, when the menace of herders was just rearing its head in Igbomina land, he was waylaid in an attack that took the life of one of his chiefs (Elemosho), and only escaped by the mercy of Allah. Oba Aala justified the saying that the title is not as important as the holder. A lower graded king with the highest target for his domain. A slim featured figure with fatest mind for the Igbomina people.

We love you so much and never wish you leave now, but Allah's wish for you
