Balogun Ajikobi Community 14th Annual Congress: Shun Cultism, Drug Abuse, Internet Fraud - Mallam Idris Jimoh

The chairman of Balogun Ajikobi Community Development Association( BACDA), Mallam Idris Jimoh has tasked Ajikobi community youth and entire Kwara youth to stay away from cultism, drug abuse, internet fraud among others adding that all this act can destroy their lives.

Jimoh said this at the community 14th annual congress on Tuesday that anti social Behavioural act has nothing good to offer them than to destroy their future and lives.

He urged the youth to follow the right part and shun wrong part that can jeopardize their career to achieve best in life.

While Speaking on the achievement of the association, he said the association has been part of the social responsibilities to promote and improve the educational standard of teeming youth who are either in secondary school or higher institutions of learning."

He further stressed that, employment for youths is another achievement of which members of the community have been given both federal and state jobs in support of the community mentors.

"Empowerment, health care services, community infrastructure services in partnering with government,private body and NGO to facilitate community needs.

"The event feature presentation of meritorious service awards to the member community who have contributed to the development of the community."

He urged members of the community to emulate the awardees as to boost up the community services.

Among the people who were given an award at the event are Alhaji Balewa Mustapha Ajikobi, Alhaji Oba Aliyu Ajikobi, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Alh. Adebayo Adelodun, Alhaji Sidiq Mannah, Alhaji Ibrahim Bolaji Ajikobi, the first Balogun of Ajikobi late, Alh Usman Ajikobi among others.

Speaking with some of the awardees, Alhaji Garba Ajikobi, he appreciated the community for recognizing him adding that he didn't see it coming.

He commended the association for moving the community to higher level and urged them not to relent no matter the challenges.

Alh Garba call for love,unity and peace among the community and Kwara entirely adding that, that the way to move forward in life.

Also speaking, Alhaja Aishat Ona Olapo Olola charged youth of the community to work harder and emulate their mentor in promoting the community and serve as ambassador of Ajikobi community in home and abroad.

The event also featured lecture by Popular Islamic preacher, Shaikh Buhari Musa who charged all members of the community to build their family with love adding that that will unite the whole community and correct the wrong doing of the member of the community by advising them with the word of God adding that they should all join force with love to fight any indiscipline among the community member.
