Hundreds of Moro Youths, Led by Entrepreneur Afolayan Opeyemi Aduagba, Join Kwara PDP Ahead of 2027

The Kwara State PDP yesterday received hundreds of vibrant youths drawn from all wards of Moro Local Government Area at the Party Secretariat in Ilorin, as they formally declared their intention to join the PDP and align with its #ResecureKwara2027 agenda.

They were led by a young entrepreneur and CEO of Adua Autos, Mr. Afolayan Opeyemi Aduagba, whose entry into the party marks a significant boost to the PDP’s growing grassroots strength across Kwara state .

The youths movement was facilitated by the immediate past State Youth Leader of the Party, Hon. Mohammed Abdulmumin, who described their movement into the party as a huge blessing and a strong validation of the PDP’s enduring connection with the grassroot people.

Also accompanying the team was a respected elder statesman and party chieftain from Jebba ward, Alhaji Folorunsho Ayinde Idiagbon, alongside other notable stakeholders from the axis.

Why We Chose PDP

Speaking on behalf of the group before the State Working Committee led by the State Chairman, Hon. Isa Bawa Adamu, the team’s spokesman, Comrade Abiodun Ibidola Orolade, said their decision to join the PDP was borne out of deep reflection on the current realities in the state.

According to him, the group, largely made up of entrepreneurs and private business owners, has suffered the adverse effects of poor governance, harsh economic policies, and unfriendly taxation under the current APC administration.

“As you can see, we are mostly entrepreneurs and legitimate business owners across Kwara State. We are the ones bearing the brunt of bad government policies and irrational taxation.
We have experienced both the PDP era and the present APC administration, and we have clearly seen the difference.”

He further disclosed that despite several overtures from high-ranking APC stakeholders, the group chose to align with the PDP, noting that only the leadership of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki offers a clear pathway to economic revival and sustainable development in Kwara State.

“We are saying it openly , we do not want APC again. We are legit business people  who understand the realities of the economy, from exchange rates to fuel prices and the growing insecurity affecting our businesses.
We are here to join forces with the PDP in the struggle for a better Kwara under the #Osuwa movement for 2027.”

In his remarks, elder statesman Alhaji Folorunsho Ayinde Idiagbon expressed delight at the decision of the young entrepreneur and his followers to join the PDP, assuring them of the full support and cooperation of party leaders across Moro LGA and the Jebba axis to strengthen the party’s structure in the area.

Similarly, the Kwara North Senatorial Chairman, the State Youth Leader, the State Women Leader and the Organizing Secretary commended the group for their bold and timely decision, urging them to sustain the momentum by mobilizing more youths into the party.

They emphasized that the PDP remains the only party with a proven commitment to economic diversification and policies that genuinely support small and medium-scale enterprises.

Your Coming today is an Answered Prayer- State Chairman

Welcoming the new entrants, the State Chairman, Hon. Isa Bawa Adamu, praised the courage and conviction of the young entrepreneurs for rejecting what he described as the deceptive antics of the ruling APC in the state. He noted that their massive turnout, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, signifies a positive turning point for the party.

“Your coming today, in such large numbers, is not only significant but symbolic. It is, indeed, an answered prayer for our party , even as your name ‘Aduagba’ reflects.”

The Chairman urged the new members to see themselves as integral stakeholders of the PDP across their respective wards and constituencies, while also calling on party leaders to warmly integrate them into the party structure.

The Kwara PDP has continued to recieved newbies from across sectors as Kwarans  are showing readiness to support the party in its commitment to building a broad-based, inclusive movement that reflects the aspirations of the people and positions the state for genuine progress come 2027.
