Ambassador Isiaka Imam Commiserates with Gov. AbdulRazaq, Kwarans Over Terrorist Attack in Kwara North.
The immediate past Secretary-General of the Developing -8 Organization for Economic Cooperation (D-8), Ambassador Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, has commiserated with the Government and people of Kwara State over the recent terrorist attack on innocent residents of Woro Village in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara North Senatorial District.
Ambassador Imam expressed his condolences to the state government under the leadership of His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and to the affected communities, describing the attack as a dastardly and evil act that must be condemned by all well-meaning individuals.
In a press statement issued in Ilorin, Ambassador Imam acknowledged the significant strides made by the present administration in tackling security challenges such as kidnapping, banditry, and other criminal activities across the state.
According to him, the recent recruitment of forest guards, increased support for security agencies, and the strengthening of community policing structures clearly demonstrate Governor AbdulRazaq’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Kwara State.
He noted that it was particularly unfortunate that the attack occurred at a time when the Governor was doing everything humanly possible to maintain peace and security in a state widely known for its harmony and peaceful coexistence.
Ambassador Imam called on peace-loving citizens of Kwara State to continue supporting the Governor in his resolve to restore and sustain lasting peace in every part of the state.
He also urged security agencies to redouble their efforts to prevent a recurrence of such attacks, while calling on all Kwarans—especially residents of the northern part of the state—to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious movements to security authorities for swift action.
