New Ndachapa of Ellah Unveils Development Strategies, Confers Chieftaincy Titles on Community Members


The newly installed Ndachapa of Ellah in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Mohammed Tsowa (Goronmashi), has rolled out key strategies to steer his administration toward progressive community development while also recognizing the contributions of distinguished sons of the soil.

Installed on April 2, 2025, following the passing of the 16th Chapa of Ellah, the new Ndachapa has since begun laying the foundation for an inclusive, youth-focused, and development-driven traditional leadership.

Among the newly introduced initiatives under his reign are:
 • Weekly Council Meetings: Regular engagements every Friday with council members to deliberate on community affairs and chart strategic pathways for growth.
 • Youth Engagement Forums: Periodic meetings coordinated by the community’s youth leader to address youth-related challenges and foster unity.
 • Recognition of Service: Conferment of traditional titles on exemplary community members, both within Nigeria and in the diaspora, as part of the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

The conferment ceremony, which took place on June 8, 2025, at Nko Ndachapa, saw the honoring of several respected individuals with traditional titles in recognition of their service and commitment to the development of Ellah.

Honorees include:
 • Hon. Mohammed G. Kudu – Medical Practitioner and former Supervisory Councilor for Health, Patigi LGA – Haske, Chapa Ellah (Kpakoyankpa)
 • Alhaji Jibril N. Jibril – NHIA, Minna, Niger State – Waziri, Chapa Ellah (Daudu)
 • Alhaji Abubakar Nma Mohammed – Staff Nurse (Orthermic), Patigi General Hospital – Galadima, Chapa Ellah (Kpakoyankpa)
 • Alhaji Idris Mohammed Danjuma – FCDA, Abuja – Sarki Malami, Chapa Ellah (Zaki)
 • Mallam Abubakar Ibrahim – Lecturer, Federal Polytechnic Bida – Ajiya, Chapa Ellah (Daudu)
 • Mallam Musa Jibril (Rtd.) – Ministry of Defence – Ciroma, Chapa Ellah (Kpakoyankpa)
 • Mallam Jibril Mohammed Shaaba – Niger State Water Sanitation Board – Wakili, Chapa Ellah (Daudu)
 • Mallam Alhassan Mohammed – Nigeria Customs Service – Jerima, Chapa Ellah (Daudu)

Speaking on behalf of the awardees, Hon. Mohammed G. Kudu (Hasken Chapa) expressed profound appreciation to God, the Etsu Patigi, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, and the Ndachapa of Ellah for their leadership and trust. He pledged the continued loyalty and support of the honorees to the growth and stability of the community.

In his remarks, Goronmashi reiterated his commitment to honoring more deserving individuals in the future, emphasizing the importance of unity, service, and inclusivity in building a stronger Ellah community.
