Gobir Congratulates Jani Ibrahim as 23rd NACCIMA President

Alhaji Yakubu Garba Gobir, the Sarkin Gobir and Madawaki of Ilorin Emirate, has extended warm congratulations to Alhaji Engr. (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim, FNSE, FAEng, OON, mni, on his election as the 23rd President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

In a statement issued from Ilorin, Gobir highlighted Ibrahim’s decades‑long dedication to the economic and industrial development of both Kwara State and Nigeria at large. He noted that Ibrahim’s rise—from President of KWACCIMA (Kwara State Chamber) and CONSCCIMA (Northern States) to 1st Deputy President of NACCIMA—reflects his exemplary leadership and commitment.

Gobir said; “It is indeed a proud moment for all Kwarans. Engr. Jani Ibrahim’s leadership will further raise the bar for advocacy in the business environment and enhance ease of doing business across Nigeria.”

He also praised Ibrahim’s achievements in promoting indigenous entrepreneurship. As founder of Lubcon Group—Nigeria’s first ISO‑certified indigenous lubricant‑blending company with operations in Nigeria, Ghana, and Ethiopia—Ibrahim has distinguished himself in industrial innovation and job creation.

Gobir highlighted Ibrahim’s recognition by academic institutions as proof of his sterling record in service. Earlier this year, Al‑Hikmah University honoured him with an honorary doctorate for his contributions to engineering, mentorship, and public service.

The Sarkin Gobir - who was Alhaji Jani Ibrahim's classmate at Harvard Business School - expressed optimism that Ibrahim’s presidency would strengthen national trade, advance SMEs, and address challenges such as multiple taxation and energy costs—issues central to NACCIMA’s 65th AGM agenda in Ilorin.
