EXCLUSIVE: Ganduje Set To Resign As APC National Chairman
Barring any last-minute change of decision, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, will tender his resignation on Friday.
Sources told DAILY NIGERIAN that Mr Ganduje would be replaced with a national vice chairman of the party, pending convention in December.
According to DAILY NIGERIAN, the move is to assuage agitation from stakeholders in the North Central region as well as mounting internal oppositions against the party leader.
Recall that Mr Ganduje was appointed in August 2023 after the resignation of Abdullahi Adamu.
Since then, stakeholders from the North Central region have been making a case for the return of the seat to the region.
Sources said Mr Ganduje, who hailed from Kano, was persuaded to throw in the towel as the ruling party strategizes ahead of 2027.
