Yusuf Ismail Kayode Resigns as Senior Legislative Aide to Hon. Yinka Ahmed Aluko
Yusuf Ismail Kayode, popularly known as "Senator," has announced his resignation from his position as Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to Honorable Yinka Ahmed Aluko.
In a statement addressed to his constituents, Kayode expressed gratitude for the trust and confidence placed in him throughout his political journey. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people with loyalty and integrity while ensuring that their interests remain a priority.
"I appreciate the confidence you have placed in me throughout my political journey. I remain committed to being loyal and truthful to our constituents. I will continue to listen to your concerns and ensure that the interests of our people prevail at all times," he stated.
While Kayode did not cite specific reasons for his resignation, political observers and constituents have linked his decision to what they describe as the poor performance of Hon. Yinka Ahmed Aluko in fulfilling his electoral promises. Many believe that his exit signals growing dissatisfaction within the constituency regarding Aluko’s representation.
Kayode, however, extended his appreciation to Hon. Aluko for granting him the opportunity to serve in the legislative capacity. He expressed hope that the lawmaker would fulfill his promises to the constituency in the remaining years of his tenure.
He concluded by wishing Hon. Aluko and the constituents success in the future.
