Ellah Village Gets a New Ndachapa
Ellah Village in Patigi, Kwara State, has a new village head, Mohammed Tsowa, appointed by HRH Dr. Alh. Ibrahim Umar Bologi II, the Etsu Patigi. This appointment follows the passing of the 16th Ndachapa, Chapa Mohammed Gana, on February 19, 2025.
Key Facts About Mohammed Tsowa
• Background: Born on March 3, 1969, in Ellah, Mohammed Tsowa is the 17th village head and the son of the late Chapa Jibril Zhiri.
• Education: He attended Ellah/Edozhigi Primary School, Patigi Secondary School, Junior Secondary School Yakila (Niger State), and Government Technical College Minna.
• Community Leadership: Before his appointment, Mohammed Tsowa was recognized as a community-based leader known for his conflict resolution skills.
• Personal Life: He is married with children and grandchildren.
Notably, Mohammed Tsowa’s father was also installed as the Chapa of Ellah by the late HRH Alh. Umar Bologi I. Since 1985, all village heads of Ellah have borne the name “Mohammed”, including Mohammed Saba, Mohammed Kolo, Mohammed Gana, and now Mohammed Tsowa. The community prays that God Almighty will guide Mohammed Tsowa to uphold moral traditions, making the name “Mohammed” a symbol of blessings and unprecedented achievements.
