VIDEO: NSCDC Nabs Suspected Kidnapper, Ritualist in Abuja Hotel
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest of an alleged internet fraudster, who reportedly confined a young lady for money rituals at an Abuja hotel. The arrest was made by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). However, the FCT Police Command noted that the NSCDC is yet to hand over the suspect.
According to Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Josephine Adeh, the suspect, allegedly a kidnapper and ritualist, remains in NSCDC custody. Adeh disclosed this information during a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
The statement titled: ‘Police Awaits NSCDC To Hand Over Suspected Kidnapper, Alleged Ritualist’ read: “The FCT Police Command is aware of the video footage making the rounds about a lady who was criminally confined in Top View Hotel, Wuse, Abuja on September 17, 2024 by an alleged internet fraudster allegedly for money ritual.
“Findings revealed that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has taken the suspect into custody and are yet to hand over to the police for diligent investigation.
“The FCT police command for all intent and purposes awaits the NSCDC to hand over all parties for commencement of diligent and discreet investigation. Further development will be communicated in due course.”
