“As part of our internal security architecture in Kogi state we have check points and patrol teams that conduct surveillance at strategic points we considered as very flash point areas and these are areas we considered high risk areas and vulnerable points.

One of these point is Jamata bridge which is a gateway into Lokoja. So on receiving a distress call from Dangote cement , our personnel at the check point commence stop and search operation where the suspect was apprehended together with the Dangote truck laden with 900 bags of 50kg cement.

“Nigerian Navy is poised in their determination to support Nigerian Police in terms of sustaining the tempo of fishing out criminals where ever they hide or they operate in Kogi state” Commodore Senibo stated.

He charged the management of Dangote cement factory not to relent in giving Navy credible information to enable them arrest criminal elements disturbing their activities.

“For intending criminals , I want to tell them that the end of their indulgence in any crime is always disastrous and shameful. They should also bear in mind that crime and criminality is not the best way to achieve your objective in life.

Therefore, they should seek legitimate source of livelihood that are lawful in the eye of the law” the Commander NNS Lugard warned.
