Tinuola's Claim Of Victory In Irepodun APC Primary Is A False Narrative - Group

A intense dispute has erupted over the outcome of the Irepodun Local Government All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, with Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu Aremu (Tinuola) claiming a resounding victory. However, the Irepodun Progressives Like-minds Forum has vehemently challenged the accuracy of Tinuola's claims, alleging that he did not win the election by a landslide as stated.

"According to credible sources within the party, Tinuola's performance was not as impressive as he claims, and his assertion of clearing 100% of the votes in Omu-Aran Ward 2 and making landmark victories in most other wards has been disputed by independent observers and party officials."

The forum alleges that Tinuola is attempting to present a distorted picture of the election results to mislead the public and create a false impression of his political standing.

The Irepodun Progressives Like-minds Forum has called for a thorough investigation into the election results, urging stakeholders, including party members, election officials, and the media, to scrutinize Tinuola's claims and ensure that the will of the people is accurately reflected in the final outcome.

The forum's chairman, Amb. Musbau Olawale Ayansola, stated, "We will not allow this blatant attempt to manipulate the truth to stand. The people of Irepodun deserve to know the true outcome of the election."

This development has sparked concerns about the integrity of the electoral process, with many calling for transparency and accuracy in the reporting of election results. The controversy has also raised questions about Tinuola's credibility and his ability to represent the people of Irepodun Local Government.

As the situation unfolds, the people of Irepodun and the broader public await a clear and accurate account of the primary election results. The APC leadership has been urged to intervene and ensure that the election results reflect the true will of the people.

"The party's image and credibility are at stake, and a thorough investigation is necessary to restore trust in the electoral process." he said
