Kwara Hotel: APC Chieftain Urges Sanctions Against Ex-Rep Member , Mashood Mustapha

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Aina Oladepo has advised the Kwara state Governor not to take with levity hands the issue of the legal tussles between the Kwara state government and a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Mashood Mustapha over the controversial Kwara hotel renovation.

Oladepo gave this admonition today in a WhatsApp group platform, Kwara Sentinel, which was monitored by our correspondent.

Oladepo stated this while reacting to the news report of the 7-day preaction notice given by Hon. Mustapha to the Kwara state government over an alleged breach of contract on the controversial Kwara Hotels renovation, which was said to have been awarded to Mustapha's company at N3billion Naira before it was later reawarded to another company, Cranebug Construction Limited at a staggering N17.8billion.

In his reaction, the APC chieftain said Hon. Mustapha being a member of the APC himself owed the Governor and the party the benefits of exhausting 'internal remedies' before taking the drastic step of suing the state Governor in court over the Kwara hotel renovation.
"Hon. MM is a bad sportsman. He's a poor representation of what a loyal APC member should be. No loyal party member should openly bring his or her own party and government into disrepute as he's done and he's supposed to pay dearly for it.

"When you live in a glass house, you don't throw stone. Hon. MM is at the mercy of the state considering a lot of controversies surrounding his own properties in GRA, his hotel and his shopping complex. If Gov. Abdulraman AbdulRazak was a brutal leader ni, as witnessed in Edo and Ogun states recently, those properties shouldn't be standing by now.

Oladepo therefore advised Mustapha to 'thread softly' and retract his steps for the growth and development of the state.
