Justice Or Trouble? As Dean Unclads Niqob Sister In LAUTECH
Such is the case as reported from a legit source at the institute for Online Distance Learning (ODL) at Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) in Ogbomosho in the department of nursing precisely just as it is few days to the state of their exams and matriculation.
As reported: The board of LODLC came to address their newly admitted Nursing students. The Dean of the Faculty addressed us mainly on discipline both within the school and in the profession generally focusing mainly on dressing and he directed his speech on sense of Muslims dresses in the following regards:
1. The scrub is the only approved uniform for student nurses and any other forms of dresses must not be wore atop or underneath the scrub that if he sees anyone who did this,such person will be penalised;
2. Those males white are keeping their beards should have it cut neatly and in minimal length;
3. The Niqobites must not put on their niqobs during lectures and exams;
While delivering his speech, he pointed out two sisters that were wearing knee length hijabs making them as examples but he wasn't satisfied with them he was looking for a full kimarite. Later on,he was able to locate a sister who was sitting at an extreme end of the hall who obviously Lillahi was reading and not really concentrating on his speech. He bullied her and said she kept quiet all these while he has been looking for a niqobite,he requested for her matric number and name and gave her the following options; either you go and come back the next semester, next session or never come back again. The sister begged him and elders in the class moved out as well went on their knees they also 'forced' the sister in question to kneel down,the next thing we saw was that this sister stood up niqobless. He did same for one other woman.
The Man said bravely that we should quote him anywhere to the council level nobody can question him,I am also a core Muslim...says him.
Allahu Musta'an.
The husband of the said student took to his social media pages and in quote penned this: "As Salam Alaikum my brother, I'm in Serious IBANUJE (sorrow/heartbreak) NOW. MY WIFE WAS EMBARRASSED PUBLICLY INSIDE HALL IN LAUTECH AND WAS FORCED TO REMOVE HER NIQOB"
He further added saying: "Kindly forward to all Islamic platforms only". "The man must be dealt with".
Also in a midst of the report, the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria of the institution, Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) have also made a statement regarding this incident.
Professor Lawal Ajibade; the Dean of Faculty of Nursing, unclading a sister in public is a grievous offence, we are revolting this and demand that he release a public apology before 6:00 am tomorrow, Thursday 18th of November 2021.
Failure to meet this demand, all lectures in the Faculty of Nursing will be disrupted. In addition, the faculty seminar and matriculation ceremony slated for tomorrow shall not hold.
Prof. Ajibade has a choice, he apologizes or we Revolt.
The matriculation somewhat stylishly held nonetheless, as the main entrance to the LAUTECH institution was on closedown and alternative routes of entry was assigned with security.
What's your opinion on this and do you think the revolt might still hold?
