"I’m Still Traumatized By What The Soldier Did To Me" -Humiliated Corp Member; Ifeyinwa Laments
The assaulted corp member whom was discharged from camp since the incidence due to security reasons narrates that even though she's gone through some tests and also seen a therapist but still yet can't get a hold of the traumatic effect from the incidence as this has also been impacting negatively to her daily livelihood. She says in being having sleepless nights and nightmares as a result of this incidence.
Ifeyinwa is known to be a graduate from the University of Lagos and also living in the city with her family. She further added that though she had received calls from the NYSC authorities in Abuja to come for her discharge certificate but by her parents and friends, she's being advised not to go out of fear and also for security reasons.
She said as for the incidence, it sometimes crosses her mind that she wonder why she didn't fight back and on the other hand for this reason blames herself for letting the incident happen to her.
In the all of these, Ifeyinwa says that none of the concerned bodies in this issue have not contacted her on her traumatic welfare, she adds that she's not even aware if any actions were or have been taken on the officer; Lieutenant Anele Viola Chika who assaulted her. She also mentioned that her lawyer is currently handling the case though with no charges inclusive.
