Workers Riot In Ilorin Over 30,000 Minimum Wage

Riot broke out at Labour house in Ilorin this morning as labour leaders attempted to call of an indefinite strike to protest non payment of N30,000 minimum wage by Kwara State government.

The riot was said to have broken out during a Press Conference called by Labour Leaders to call off the Strike.

The Labour Leaders were alleged to have sabotaged workers after meeting with the Kwara State Governor.

The leaders who had a meeting with the state governor, AbdulRazaq Abdulrahman, on Wednesday were alleged to be coerced, intimidated and harassed by government to call off the strike.

“They have been settled”, some of the workers alleged.
