We‘ll Continue To Give Voice To The Hapless - Sobi FM Reassure Kwara Gov. Aide

The Management and Trustees of Sobi fm have again re-echoed the position of the Radio Station to give voice to the downtrodden in the society.

This position was restated on Tuesday, by Trustee Kayode Mustapha when he received the Senior Special Assistant to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Community Intervention, Kayode Oyin-Zubair in his office.

Mustapha said: You have always been part of this vision; we worked into the nights when this station was being put in place. We have always thought on how to better the lots of our people, we won’t derail because we have a pact with the people.

“We appreciate your decision to visit this station, this is the first of its kind. We will give you every support you need. We will continue to give spotlight to activities of the government and get feedback as appropriate. You are always welcome here”, he submitted.

In his remarks, Oyin-Zubair said the desire of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to create a Community Intervention office is to bridge the gap between the people and the government.

“Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq propelled by a desire to reach the hitherto neglected people, he created this office to bridge the gap. His thinking is in consonance with the United Nations’ stance on the approach to development that must be bottom-up.

“Conducting Participatory Rural Appraisal is cardinal to any successful Community Driven Rural Development at this time. This government is serious about sustainable development reaching every part of the State. We want you to give us more airtime in propagating our laudable programmes. We will be available when you call for our side on any story”, the Governor’s aide concluded.
