Igbomina Community Radio Is The Only Station Speaking The Language Of The People


The management of Igbomina Community Radio situated in Pamo-Isin, Isin Local Government Area of the State said the station is the only one around here that communicate with the community using their own language.

While receiving the Senior Special Assistant on Community Intervention to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq during a working visit to the station; Elder Dayo Babarinde and Chief Olusegun Ajileye affirmed that, “this is only station that communicate with the language the people can easily comprehend”.

They submitted separately that, the station is ready to form various partnerships with government in a bid to developing the State.

In his remarks, the SSA commended the effort of the founding fathers and mothers of Igbomina Community Radio at ensuring that the radio is still on air.

“I want to use this opportunity to commend our fathers and mothers who put this radio station in place to facilitate the dissemination of balanced information to our people.

“Our fathers are known for self-help as seen in the influx of industries in Igbomina land. It is unfortunate we don’t have many of them again. I am appealing to you to use this station to reawaken our people to return to the good old days. Our government under Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is more than ready to undertake more developmental projects on our land and support industrial revolution in a bid to fostering shared prosperity.”

Oyin-Zubair pleaded with Community Leaders to help curtail community spread of the novel Coronavirus by exposing unwanted visitors in their communities, saying “Let’s not be deceived Coronavirus is real and it is ravaging the world. We need you to expose people sneaking into our communities. We don’t need unwanted visitors that are causing us trouble, please help us educate our people.” He concluded.
