Kwara Takes Custody Of Housemaids Injured With Knife

Kwara State First Lady Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq, has directed the state Ministry of Women Affairs to take custody of two housemaids allegedly injured with a knife by their mistress Bilikis Mohammed for not flushing the toilet after use.

Mrs Abdulrazaq gave the directive on Sunday when the state working committee of the Kwara Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists paid her a courtesy call in Ilorin.

Aisha Bakari, 12, and one Hauwa, 14, suffered injuries after they were allegedly attacked with a hot knife by 48-year-old Mohammed currently trial before a juvenile court in Ilorin.

The governor’s wife also revealed plans by her office to increase advocacy on issues affecting women and children.

She said, “We are looking at the issue of a four-year-old girl that was allegedly raped by a 60- year-old man. We did a similar thing with that and anything that comes up, we will definitely take care of it.”
