Hon. Owolabi Razak Flags Off Meningitis Immunization In Kwara

The Chairman House Committee on Health and Environment and member representing Share/Oke-Ode at the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Owolabi Rasak has assured kwarans of total support of Kwara Assembly to avoid of outbreak Meningitis in the state.

Hon. Owolabi gave this assurance in his speech at the flag off of Meningitis Vaccination in Ilorin on Tuesday.

According to him, Meningitis has been a scourge across Africa for generations, we thank God for this opportunity to flag off a programme that can put the disease under control.

''I congratulate the Kwara state government, my Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and Her Excellency Mrs Olufolake Abdulrasaq for this important milestone. I will like to encourage parents and caregivers to ensure that their wards are vaccinated. No child should be denied the opportunity to receive life saving vaccines for a healthy and productive future to build a thriving state." He explained

Adding that: 'I give you the assurances that with the support of my speaker we on our part as the legislature are ready to partner with the appropriate institutions to ensure smooth delivery of this laudable programme."
