Kwara 2019: Acclaimed APC Elders Set To Lobby Oshiomole

Investigations have emerged that some acclaimed elders of the All Progressives, (APC) have concluded arrangements to lobby the national leadership of the party to zone the governorship ticket to Kwara Central Senatorial District, KWARA REPORTERS has learnt .

According to a source who pleaded anonymity confieded in this medium that the leader of the team and former governor of the state in the second republic, Chief C.O. Adebayo shall be accompanied by two elders each from the three senatorial district of the state.

Other members include; Chief Wole Oke, Dr. Ajia, Prof. Saka Nuhu , Gen. Saliu among others.

"However, the group who were allegedly sponsored by the Senate President in other to lobby for the possibilities of picking APC gubernatorial candidate from the Central to boost the chances of PDP in the forthcoming polls, are expected  to meet with Comrade Adams Oshiomole -led national working committee on Tuesday in Abuja.

"It is however pertinent for the APC leadership to be at alert and avoid fake lobby which can actually work against the victory of the APC in Kwara State come 2019. The team are not genuine APC leaders. The meeting was held in Chief Adebayo's house. They are sponsored by Saraki because we know his antics in the past and we cannot allow such tactics to cause disunity and disaffection within our party most importantly, to challenge the political leadership of the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who is from the same senatorial district with Chief C.O. Adebayo.

The fact is that Wole Oke was until recently an aide to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed he should be regarded as PDP agents who should not trusted in any capacity", the source confided.
