Gunmen Abduct Three In Kwara Community
Gunmen have invaded the Ora, Ayetoro community in the Ekiti local government area of Kwara state, abducting three people in the process.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Monday when approximately nine gunmen, four of whom were wearing masks, stormed the area wielding AK-47 rifles and shooting sporadically.
The abductors also targeted the palace of the community's traditional ruler, Oba C.O. Odeyemi. They destroyed his residence and burgled the shop of his wife, Olori Odeyemi, making off with various items and cash.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi SP, confirmed the incident on Thursday night when contacted. He stated that security operatives, along with vigilantes and local hunters, have been deployed to the bush in an effort to rescue the victims."
